A macaron is a sweet, almond meringue-based cookie traditionally filled with buttercream, ganache or fruit curd. A bite through the crisp exterior shell yields to a moist, flavourful centre that simply melts in your mouth.
They’re often referred to as a French or Parisian macarons, as to avoid confusion with the similarly named coconut-based macaroon.
At Petits Macarons, we believe in using the finest ingredients for the simple reason that you can taste the difference!
The macarons are made with ground almonds, egg whites and sugar, making them naturally gluten-free. They are then filled with ganaches, buttercreams or curds, all of which are handcrafted in small batches using fresh, whole, seasonal ingredients as much as possible. Our Signature Collection features a series of luxurious flavours, such as Valrhona chocolate, whole vanilla bean, unsalted creamy butter, and premium espresso.

Year round, we offer our Signature Collection, which includes these flavours:
We also regularly create new flavours for our special Seasonal Collection featured at some of our retailers. Over the last few years, we’ve featured these amazing flavours*:

Yes, macarons are gluten-free since they are made from ingredients that do not typically contain gluten. However, since we do bake many other items in our kitchen, including flour-based cakes and desserts, there could be traces of gluten in our product. We would advise caution to those who have a significant issue with eating gluten (i.e.: Celiac Disease).
Yes, while many of our macarons fillings contain dairy in the form of fresh butter or whole cream, there are a few flavours that are made (or can be made) without. The shells do not contain any dairy.

For maximum freshness and shelf life, we recommend you store your macarons in the freezer. They freeze beautifully and taste just as delicious once thawed. Macarons will remain fresh in the freezer for well up to 6 months in a well-sealed bag or container. They can also be stored in the refrigerator if you plan on enjoying them within a few days, preferably in a sealed container or bag.
To serve, allow at least 45 minutes for frozen macarons to fully defrost, and about 20 minutes for refrigerated macarons to warm up. We know it’s hard to wait, but trust us: it will be worth it! Macarons reach their optimum flavour and texture at room temperature.
